Fruitainer - Edible Drink Container ca. 1940. "Fruitainer. The New Taste Treat." The unusual "edible" vessel was made from recycled fruit exocarp. The photographer was experimenting with lighting arrangements in his basement photo studio. The retail display shows enough minor dents to indicate it was not new when he photographed it in the late 1930s.
