Louie Nine Pipes, Flathead Indian, Arlee, Montana

Louie Nine Pipes (alternately spelled Ninepipes, born 1892 in Stevensville, Montana) a Flathead Indian who lived near Arlee, Montana, and Florence Demers, photographed when she was a student at the University of Montana about 1936. She later married Ed Bouck and became Mrs. Florence Demers Bouck, residing in the Jocko Valley. She was the sister of Louie DeMers, who owned the Demers Mercantile Co. in Arlee, Montana.
