There are people who detest corporate businesses in the neighborhood. Starbucks is a perennial target of theirs, and this photo shows the one at MLK & Ainsworth after both the door and front window were broken by thrown bricks in the early morning hours of a summer night in 2008. These photos were taken at dawn when the window was being replaced. It is ironic that corporate stores offer better employment opportunities to Black residents of the neighborhood than many of the gold rush businesses. June 14, 2008.
