Joseph Perry Betancue (Astoria)
Betancue & Button Flying Studio
This was a partnership of two California photographers who operated a studio in Astoria for a brief time about 1878. Joseph Betancue was a photographer in San Francisco during the 1860s. After Astoria, he returned to San Francisco and opened a studio in 1880. He had a succession of photo businesses that lasted there until 1888. The other partner was Charles Gilbert Button. He was a photographer in San Jose from 1870-1874, then moved to San Francisco and worked as a photo printer in 1876. He then became a traveling photographer.
