George C. Blakely (Forest Grove)
Owned a studio in Forest Grove. He offered the studio for sale in a December 1909 advertisement in Camera Craft, and again in March 1910. The ad described the studio as “Finely equipped studio fitted to 8×10, 3A Dallmeyer lens, north light, ground floor, Mission style fittings, low rent; good prices; population 3,000; college town; draw trade from eight other towns and rich farming country; no competition.” According to the Washington County News of November 3, 1910, “Blakely, the proprietor of the Forest Grove photograph gallery, has sold out to a Mr. Sackrider, of Hutsonville, Illinois, who has taken possession of the same.”
