William H. Allatt (The Dalles, Sherman county)
A photographer named Hammond was attempting to set up two small branch galleries in Central Oregon. According to The Dalles Times-Mountaineer of April 17, 1897, one of the photographers was named “Allatt” and was operating a mobile portrait studio traveling through Sherman county.
William H. Allatt appears to be a young man who is occasionally seen or mentioned in The Dalles newspapers. He was a delegate in the Trevitt district in a local election.
