1910: “Died. Goethe — In this city, April 14, at his late residence, 509 Columbia st., Matthias A. Goethe, aged 48 years, 8 months and 11 days. Funeral notice hereafter.” Morning Oregonian, April 15, 1910, pg. 18, col. 4.

1910: “The will of Matthias A. Goethe was admitted in the County Court yesterday, Mary Goethe, the widow, being appointed executrix. The appraisers are Otto J. Kraemer, Lester W.
